Peter testifies to the majesty of the glorious transfiguration of Jesus Christ up on the mountain. He is totally excited about the return of Christ even though he expects to be with Christ instead of rising to meet Him in the air.
With that same expectation we are encouraged to serve Him and continually look for His return... "He Is Coming In Power!"
