Sermon of the Week - 05.11.2014

"Love The LORD Your God" - Pastor John Faull

 - Joshua sends the tribe of Ruben, the tribe of Gad and half the tribe of Manasseh back to their inheritance on the other side Jordan. He commands them to ... take diligent heed to do the commandment and the law, which Moses the servant of the LORD charged you, to love the LORD your God, and to walk in all his ways, and to keep his commandments, and to cleave unto him, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul.

Jesus says, as recorded in Matthew 22:37-40 Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. (38) This is the first and great commandment. (39) And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. (40) On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

Sermon of the Week - 05.04.2014

"Jesus, Our City of Refuge" - Pastor John Faull

 - Cities of refuge - Designed to typify the relief which the gospel provides for poor, penitent sinners, and their protection from the curse of the law and the wrath of God, in our Lord Jesus, to whom believers fly for refuge. –  John Wesley

As the cities of refuge were so situated as to be accessible from every part of the land, so Christ is very accessible to needy sinners –  D. L. Moody

In today's message Pastor John takes us into Joshua chapter 20 to see God's plan for establishing the Cities of Refuge... a type or a picture of Salvation through Jesus Christ, God's only begotten Son.

Sermon of the Week - 04.27.2014

"Are You Fully Trusting Him?" - Pastor John Faull

 - Joshua and the children of Israel possessing the Promised Land, is a beautiful picture of the life of the TRUE Christian. God's promises are abundantly bestowed and available to those who believe.

God always keeps His Word! Unfortunately man doesn't.

Are you carrying around excess baggage? Have you turned your life completely over to Him? You have everything to gain but if you refuse you have everything to lose.

Sermon of the Week - 04.20.2014

"He Is Risen Indeed" - Pastor John Faull

 - During the past few years attacks on Christ’s Resurrection have increased from the Divinci Code to the alleged finding of Jesus’ tomb and the bones of Jesus.

Some have said that it is not important. . . that If Jesus was not bodily resurrected their faith is still in His death and forgiveness!!!  “???????”

Well Not According To The Word Of God!

1 Corinthians 15:17-20
And if Christ is not risen, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins! (18) Then also those who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished. (19) If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men the most pitiable. (20) But now Christ is risen from the dead, and has become the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep.

Christianity is not a religion based on abstract principles. Christianity is a relationship with a living Savior, a Savior we can know, a Savior who infuses our life and empowers us, who transforms us into His likeness.

Sermon of the Week - 04.13.2014

"Gray Areas" - Justen Faull

 - We all have to make decisions in life and most want to please God in all things. Yet we know that scripture does not specifically deal with every subject know to man. So what do we do when it appears that the Bible is silent on an issue? How do we make choices that will honor God?

In today's message Justen Faull takes us into the Gray Areas and give us solid principle to make God honoring decisions.

Sermon of the Week - 03.30.2014

"God's Ways are Higher" - Pastor John Faull

 - Our one work as the Church is to preach “Christ and Him crucified,” fully aware of the fact that to some it is foolishness, and to others a stumbling-block.

There is, and has always been, a fatal tendency to use the world’s weapons in the Church’s work; to worship intellect, learning, genius, scholarship, eloquence; to look on these things as the treasury and armory of the Church; to depend on what man can do instead of what is God can do; to depend on that which appeals to the eye, the ear, the intellect, the emotions, rather than on the living God and His glorious gospel.

In today's message Pastor John takes us into Joshua Chapter 11 and shows us that the real blessings in life come from doing "According to all that the LORD says..."

Sermon of the Week - 03.23.2014

"Thus Shall the LORD Do" - Pastor John Faull

 - Joshua Chapter 10 tells the story of...

Five kings who join forces against Gibeon
Joshua hearing from the LORD and fights for Gibeon
Joshua experiencing God’s miracles (hailstones, sun/moon standing still)
Joshua encouraging the people with God’s promise
Joshua teaching the children of Israel a lesson about faith (What’s over your head … God will put under your feet)

In today's message Pastor John teaches us that God has given His children power over all the enemy. You will find the weapons of our warfare, God's exceedingly great and precious promises, and the encouragement to stand up and fight the enemy with the Gospel of Jesus Christ!

Sermon of the Week - 03.16.2014

"Failing to Seek the LORD" - Pastor John Faull

 - Joshua and the children of Israel did not ask counsel of the LORD in the matter concerning a covenant with the Gibeonites.

Why did Israel need allies? Was Jehovah God not enough? Was He not sufficient?

Satan can talk religiously so very well; he deceives us only when we take the management of our lives into our own hands, instead of consulting the Lord.

In today's message Pastor John encourages us to always trust in Jesus, seek counsel of Him, own none but Him, and to be always subject to Him! This will ensure victory over every enemy, and the land will be all ours.

Sermon of the Week - 03.09.2014

"Are You Listening" - Pastor John Faull

 - Joshua 8:1 starts with the words "And the LORD said unto Joshua"... After a humbling defeat at Ai, Joshua and the children of Israel seek a word from the LORD, and are told to "Get UP! Israel has committed sin."

They really needed a Word from God. After having dealt with the sin in the camp God has a fresh word for Joshua and Israel. "Fear Not".

The modern day church needs to hear the Word of the LORD and then act accordingly...

"There's Sin in the Camp" - Pastor John Faull

 - Hot off their victory in Jericho the children of Israel move on to other battles... but there is sin in the camp and Not Just What Seems Obvious.

In today's message Pastor John leads us to look at the sin of Joshua as well as the sin of Achan and to see if there is sin in our lives that needs to be dealt with!

One man's sin can affect a whole nation!

"The Wall Came Tumbling Down" - Pastor John Faull

 - Remember before the children of Israel crossed over Jordan ...

God called the nation to revivalthey came back to intimacy
God blesses them for obediencethey reinstated Passover
The Captain of the Lord’s Host Shows Up - The Commander of Angel Armies

And now seven days in a row they walk around the walls and on the seventh day seven times around the walls… seven priests carrying seven ram’s horn trumpets (one each)… The ark of God, the seat of His special presence, was carried round the city. All these were set forth to arrest the attention of the people to the fact that…

This Victory Was Solely Due To THE MIGHT OF THE LORD

In February I had a medical procedure and Brian stepped up to fill the pulpit for me the morning of February 16th. His message is based on the text of John 5:1-18.

"The Captain of the LORD'S Hosts" - Pastor John Faull

 - Before the LORD sends the children of Israel into Jericho, He calls them to a national spiritual awakening. These who have survived 40 years in the wilderness needed an intimate relationship with the LORD. Once they dedicated themselves to Him The Captain of the LORD'S Hosts shows up to lead the way to victory.

We need spiritual awakening not just nationally but globally. The Captain of the LORD'S Hosts is about to return and lead His church to victory!

"The Presence of God" - Pastor John Faull

 - In the Book of Joshua we are told of the commissioning Joshua the servant of the Lord! He is now the leader of the Children of Israel and is to divide the inheritance of the promised land.

God promises His presence as God's People obey God's Word. They faced tremendous challenges and obstacles as they moved forward with the Lord, yet every time they obeyed God they received an awesome blessing.

God's promised presence extends today to everyone who will follow Him and obey His Word!

Sermon of the Week - 01.05.2014

"New Beginnings" - Pastor John Faull

 - The Children of Israel had a history of blessings, rebellion, God's discipline, repentance, and renewed blessings. They had wandered in the wilderness for forty years and have now come to the banks of the Jordan River. It's time for a new beginning.

We all too often have experienced the same type of blessings, rebellion, God's discipline, repentance, and renewed blessings. 2014, the year of our Lord, is time for a new beginning. It's time for the True Church to set aside the old rebellious life and live in the power of God's Holy Spirit.

It's Time for A New Beginning!

"How to Beat the Devil" - Pastor John Faull

 - If you could spend 15 minutes with the devil, alone in a locked room, having a baseball in your hand ...  You would be powerless depending on that type of protection ... It is not the right weapon ...

The Weapons of our Warfare are not carnal but MIGHTY through GOD --

If we are going to beat the devil we had better learn our lesson for the ONE who defeated him once and for all!

"Things God Has Prepared For Us" - Pastor John Faull

 - Living in The Last Days and seeing the coming tribulation what can motivate the Real Church to press on? We find our motivation the same as Jesus... Hebrews 12:2 KJV  Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

The Apostle Paul wrote in Philippians 3:14 KJV  I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

We are looking for the Things God Has Prepared Us - those who love Him and are the called according to His purpose.

"Who Ya Gonna Trust?" - Pastor John Faull

 - So how will the Last Days Church make it through tribulation and trial? Jesus made it clear that we should expect tribulation but to be cheerful...  "These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world." John 16:33

Sermon of the Week - 10.13.2013

"And Some SAVE WITH FEAR" - Pastor John Faull

 - If you went to a Doctor complaining of an unexplainable pain in your abdomen and he told you not to worry about it, “It’s probably the result of a small cavity in one of your teeth… “– But in reality it was bone cancer!

Or let’s say your car had a terrible burning smell, and shook nearly out of control when you tapped the brakes, but your mechanic said not to worry, “You only need to add water to your radiator…” – Yet in reality your brakes had worn completely down to the metal!

If there is a problem, real or perceived; going on in your life don’t you want to be told the truth? Wouldn't you want to find the out so you could begin to find the true solution?

"We Come to the Lord's Table" - Pastor John Faull

 - We are told that if we take of this bread and this cup “unworthily”; we bring God’s wrath upon our lives by not reverencing the Lord’s body. In fact, the phrase “not discerning the Lord’s body,” has the idea of treating Jesus the same way the mocking and jeering crowds did at His crucifixion. It means that we treat His broken body and His shed blood as if they were useless!

"The Gospel - God's Revelation" - Pastor John Faull

 - Some preachers say we don’t need to preach on sin… sermons are too convicting… We need to make the seekers comfortable… they need to feel good or they will not come back next week!

The Bible says ... I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.    2 Timothy 4:1-4 KJV

He was a man just like us
He had the same passions we have
He dealt with the same struggles we have – even depression
He faced challenges like just you and I face

He prayed and He prayed again

"Chosen to What?" - Pastor John Faull

-  God's elective purpose is not to heaven, it's not to hell, but God's elective purpose is the sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth.  And the man who opens his heart to the truth is elected, and the man who says, "No, I will not open my heart to the truth," that man is non-elected.  And he has no cause, as Paul discusses in the ninth chapter of Romans, to find fault with God about that—none at all. “W A Criswell”

John 14:10-11 KJV
Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works. (11) Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake.
